The Lucas County Engineer’s Office provides information to determine if a property is
located within the flood plain. The flood plain requirements are administrated by the
County Building Regulations Department. These flood plain services are available to areas
of the county located outside of the cities and villages which includes all eleven townships.
If you need assistance in determining if a property lies in a Flood Hazard Area, contact
the Lucas County Engineer’s Office at 213-4540 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.,
Monday through Friday. That number again is 213-4540. If you need assistance in regard to
building requirements in a flood plain outside the cities and villages, contact the Building
Regulations Department at 213-4230 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
