It is the policy of the Lucas County Engineer to clear the 300 mile county road system
of ice and snow within a reasonable amount of time. Manpower and equipment are assigned
based on four stages of storms. All county operators, support personnel and supervisors
work 24 hours a day in 12 hour shifts during a storm until traffic can flow freely.
The county does not maintain township, city and village roads and streets. If you have
a dangerous ice or snow control problem to report on the county road system please call
the Road Maintenance Department 24 hours a day at 893-2232. That number again is 893-2232.
