The WIC (Women, Infants and Children’s) nutrition program provides free
services to improve the health of pregnant and breast-feeding women, as well as
infants, and children. Services
include nutrition assessment, counseling, education, and supplemental food
packages to low income families with a nutritional or medical risk
factor.
There are three WIC sites
administered by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department: One at Western Lucas
County Clinic, one at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, and the other at the
Toledo-Lucas County Health Department.
