Effective at the August 6, 2008 Sheriff Sale.
Per the Local Rule regarding deposits, a deposit will be required from everyone, including the Plaintiff, at every Sheriff Sale, no exceptions.
D. SHERIFF SALE
(1) DEPOSIT In every sheriff's sale of real property, as soon as the bid is accepted, the purchaser is required to deposit 5% of the amount of the appraised value of the property in cash, certified check or debit transaction, payable to the Sheriff of Lucas County. Where the appraised value is less that Fifteen Thousand Dollars, a minimum deposit of Seven Hundreds Fifty Dollars ($750.00) is required. Where the property has not been appraised, a deposit of 10% of the starting bid is required, with a minimum of $750.00 or paid in full, whichever is appropriate.
